Responsibilities

The Financial Risk Officer identifies and models risks. They assess the solvency of the company in accordance with the requirements of the "Solvency II" directive by valuing elements of the economic balance sheet and SCR. Additionally, they monitor and measure risks involved in Asset and Liability Management (ALM), such as interest rate risk, inflation risk, liquidity risk, etc.

Your critical thinking prompts you to develop and enhance models used in risk management within the financial risk management unit, as well as to develop crisis scenarios the company may face. To ensure commitments made through insurance products, you will analyze constraints that must be met by different types of investment portfolios in terms of return and risk.

You support the company in meeting solvency requirements by analyzing risks related to investments and insurance products and implementing internal projects. Furthermore, you respond to requests from the National Bank of Belgium (BNB) and contribute to the development of the business plan.

This role will allow you to enrich your skills in finance, actuarial science, and risk management.

Profile

• Master's degree in Actuarial Science and/or a Master's degree in Business Engineering/Applied Economics and/or additional training in risk management/statistics.
• Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in risk management, particularly in modeling, the "Solvency II" directive, and ALM.
• Assassinate about the interactions between finance, actuarial science, and risk management.
• Possess analytical skills and proficiency in IT .
• Ideally fluent in both national languages and have a good command of English.
• High knowledge level of Solvency II
