Group S is looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Test Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in automating non-regression tests within a CI/CD context, specifically using Azure DevOps pipelines and preferably Java technology. This role is crucial for ensuring the integrity and reliability of our payroll software. We use in-house developed frameworks to perform these tests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated non-regression test scripts to ensure that new code changes do not negatively impact existing functionalities.
- Implement and manage test automation within Azure DevOps pipelines to support continuous integration and continuous delivery.
- Develop and execute tests that compare data in databases to validate the accuracy and consistency of data after code changes.
- Collaborate with development teams to define and implement effective test strategies and plans.
- Identify, document, and track defects and inconsistencies in the software, working closely with developers to resolve them.
- Monitor and report on the performance of automated tests to ensure they run efficiently and effectively within the CI/CD pipeline.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in test automation and CI/CD to continuously improve testing processes.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Java programming and hands-on experience with test automation frameworks.
- Practical experience with Azure DevOps pipelines and other CI/CD tools.
- Solid understanding of database concepts, with experience using SQL for data validation and comparison.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Native speaker of French or Dutch, with a good command of the other language (spoken and written), enabling effective collaboration in a bilingual environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for working closely with cross-functional teams.
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a fast-paced, agile development environment.
Desired Skills:
- Familiarity with other programming languages and testing tools.
- Experience with performance and load testing.
- Knowledge of cloud services and infrastructure.
