This strategic role, reporting to the Finance Manager Europe, offers the opportunity to play a pivotal part in managing and optimizing financial processes while collaborating with multicultural teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and complete general ledger accounts in compliance with IFRS and local GAAP.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation in line with internal controls and corporate accounting policies.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, ensuring deadlines are met and financial data is accurate.
- Support the preparation of statutory financial statements and tax filings.
- Coordinate with auditors for assigned entities during the annual audit process.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Assist with ad-hoc requests, such as the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Continuously improve processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Mentor junior accounting staff and serve as a backup when needed.
Your Profile:
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in general ledger accounting within a multinational, ideally industrial, environment.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Odoo) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of IFRS and local GAAP.
- Fluent in English and French; additional languages are a plus.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and organized, with excellent teamwork skills in a fast-paced setting.
