- Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and coach the accounts payable team, aligning individual and departmental priorities with organizational objectives. Guide the team through system changes and process updates, ensuring everyone is well-supported throughout transitions.
- Process Optimization: Analyze current processes, design and implement new procedures, and promote efficiency across the department. Ensure all procedures are followed and measured for effectiveness.
- Audit Management: Oversee audit preparations, control and analyze audit reports, communicate audit outcomes, and implement necessary corrective actions to maintain compliance and accuracy.
- Stakeholder Management: Represent the department to internal and external clients and suppliers. Respond to inquiries and address the needs and challenges of key contacts in a professional manner.
Scope of the Position: Involvement spans from junior-level accounts payable activities to supporting general accounting processes, placing focus on data analysis, performance monitoring, audit planning, and presenting department results. Proficiency in both French and Dutch is fundamental for day-to-day operations and collaboration across teams.
We are looking for candidates who thrive in dynamic, fast-paced financial environments and demonstrate a keen sense of organization and ownership. - People management: Individuals excel at motivating, coaching, and fostering team development, recognizing both individual strengths and team objectives. Adaptability and empathy are essential, especially in supporting team members through change.
- Process-oriented: We value those who are driven to continually assess, refine, and implement efficient accounting procedures, ensuring reliability and adherence to compliance requirements.
- Stakeholder communication: Effective communicators who build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders are a must, demonstrating clarity and professionalism under all circumstances, including during audits and feedback sessions.
- Results-focused: Candidates show initiative in monitoring key performance indicators, taking proactive measures to address issues, and presenting insights clearly to peers and management.
- Languages: Fluency in both French and Dutch is essential to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders and support our multicultural team environment.
The successful candidate brings proven experience in accounts payable and general accounting, complemented by expertise in data analysis, audit planning, performance feedback, and confident presentation skills.
