Job Description:
As a COBOL specialist at Group S, you will be responsible for managing COBOL applications, focusing on stability, performance, and continuous improvement. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to develop and enhance functionalities necessary for payroll calculations. Additionally, you will closely collaborate with the IT infrastructure team to ensure that COBOL systems function efficiently and smoothly.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining and optimizing existing COBOL applications.
- Developing new features in accordance with specifications within existing COBOL programs.
- Analyzing user specifications and requirements to provide effective COBOL solutions.
- Resolving technical issues and bugs, finding long-term solutions.
Your profile:
- You have experience as a COBOL developer, with knowledge in COBOL programming on Windows systems.
- You have excellent problem-solving skills.
- You communicate easily and can work effectively with various stakeholders.
- A good understanding of the human resources or payroll sector is an asset.
