Job Description:
As a business Controller, you’ll partner with business units to analyze performance, control costs, and support data-driven decision-making. You will be in charge of:
Budgeting and Forecasting
- Developing annual budgets and rolling forecasts that align with company goals, explaining any budget variances
- Coordinating and oversee input from budget owners during forecasting and financial reviews
- Assisting in shaping the group strategy and vision by identifying risks, opportunities, and corrective actions
Business Controlling
- Thoroughly analyzing commercial deal terms, including pricing, revenue components, payment conditions, discounts, and agreements affecting sales commissions
- Collaborating with the legal team to ensure compliance with contractual obligations related to invoicing and commissions
- Tracking sales bookings and their effects on recurring revenue growth
- Conducting ad-hoc analyses to inform business decisions, such as FTE reporting and associated costs
- Supporting and representing the finance department in various projects, including those related to products and processes
- Fostering strong relationships with internal stakeholders and work to optimize processes, minimizing redundancy
Cost Controlling
- Conducting detailed analyses of key cost drivers, financial KPIs, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Overseeing the monthly financial closing process to ensure accuracy in P&L statements and appropriate cost allocations across the Group, meeting reporting deadlines.
- Reconciling accounts and verify cost accruals, deferrals, and expense reports from accountants, while tracking capital expenditures and other costs.
- Assisting in internal and external audits by supplying necessary documentation and clarifications.
- Coordinating and oversee input from budget owners during forecasting and financial reviews.
- Assisting in shaping the group strategy and vision by identifying risks, opportunities, and corrective actions.
